Depository Safe

A depository safe is a safe that allows cash or other small, thin objects in envelopes to be deposited into the safe without having to open it.  They usually have a slot on top, or a rotary hopper like on a mailbox for making deposits.  These slots or hoppers have baffles in them to keep someone from “fishing” the contents back out through the opening.

Depository safes are useful for periodically depositing big bills if your business handles a lot of cash.  They’re also useful in retail settings such as a jewelry store or coin shop, or any business where you deal with small items with a high value.  They’re available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, and with a variety of locking mechanisms used to grant access.  For more information on the depository safe.
