The HOLLON FB-845WE is a  2 HOUR FIRE AND BURGLARY SAFE. I found this safe interesting because the manufactuer apparently was thinking about their customer’s needs. Not everyone needs a really tall safe, and sometimes it can become an issue. The Hollon FB-845WE is made to be more wide than tall, which is great for those people that are limited on height. The FB-845WE fire and burglary safe offers top of the line fireproof protection and steel. The Hollon FB-845WE ,of course, has a two hour fire rating.  The fire and burglary safe also features an overall 5.5 inch thick door with over 2.5 inch wall defense barrier and it comes with a high security glass relocker system. So, if you are looking for a safe that is more wide than tall, the HOLLON FB-845WE is a great choice for you!! I would like to add, the Hollon Fire and Burglary Safes now come with an option to add the combination lock. Just another example as to why this manufacturer really thinks about their customer’s wants and needs!!!

wall safe

When I was younger, I never worried too much about people breaking into my home. It wasn’t that I lived in a secure neighborhood—that was far from the case—I simply didn’t have anything worth stealing. Now that I’m older and have had a chance to accrue some valuables, I’m much more conscious of the threat that burglars pose. Not only do my jewelry and gold bullion need protection, so do my private documents.

Opening up a deposit box at the bank is an option, but who wants to drive down there every time you want to break out the diamond encrusted Rolex? I used to think that wall safes were only used in the movies, but I’ve found them to be the perfect option for storing my precious goods. Since the wall safe is flush with the rest of the wall, I can simply hang a piece of art over it nobody suspects a thing.

The Hollon WS-1014E wall safe is a new addition to the Hollon line. The WS-1014E wall safe comes with an electronic keypad. Just like any other Hollon safe, the WS-1014E wall safe is top quality. Keep in mind that Wall safes  are designed to be concealed and get a great deal of their security from the way in which they are mounted to your walls. Have a pro do the installation. When it’s done right, wall safes are very secure and, with skill, they can be very effectively camouflaged. When choosing a wall safe, the Hollon WS-1014E should be at the top of your list!!

A wall safe is one that is designed to be mounted directly in a wall for added security. Wall safes are specially sized for mounting between studs in a wall. Wall Safes have special mounting brackets designed for this purpose. There are a few factors to consider when choosing a wall safe.

One factor is the type of locking mechanism used by the safe. Wall Safes are available with mechanical key locks, traditional mechanical combination locks and with electronic keypad locks. When choosing a Wall Safe with a combination dial, look for a 4-number combination for added security. Also, consider a Wall Safe with a dual lock - this type requires both a key and a combination in order to open the safe, just for more burglary protection.

Another factor to consider when choosing a wall safe is the  size and amount of storage you’ll be needing. You should choose a Wall Safe that offers more storage than you currently need, because you never know if you’ll need to add more in the future.  Another factor to consider is the type and arrangement of interior storage. Models are available with interior shelving, both fixed and adjustable. Wall Safes with adjustable shelving provides added flexibility.

When choosing a Wall Safe, another feature to look for is hidden hinges. This type of  Wall Safe is designed so that the hinges are recessed within the cabinet of the safe. This means that they are not accessible for tampering, and makes the Wall Safe much more burglary-resistant. You should also consider the overall construction of the wall safe.

There are a number of factors to consider when choosing a wall safe. Keep in mind the type of locking mechanism used, the overall size and amount of storage required, interior shelving, and the construction of the Wall Safe. By considering each of these factors carefully, you can ensure that you choose a wall safe that is best for you.

I read this blog on the difference between a media safe and a regular fire rated safe. I found that it was interesting, especially for those that do not realize there’s a huge difference between the two. DATA SAFES are the only ones recommended for keeping diskets, tapes, or CD’s in safe storage. Any temperature above 125 degrees ruins electronic data items. So you can rest comfortably with those important records if they are being stored in a media safe or data safe.
